Profession As Mission

About the course

Worldshapers courses are professional mentoring initiatives with a component of community learning and praxis (internship) in the respective profession. Experienced practitioners in various spheres of the society from all over the world will facilitate the course. This course will focus on building the professionals in Christ centeredness, Calling, Character, Competencies relevant for the profession and Community transformation (5 C’s). Once they are equipped, they will be assisted in placements in their respective professional spheres within or beyond the country borders wherever they feel God is calling them.

Course Overview

Three distinct phases designed to equip, immerse and launch you into your calling

On - Campus - 2 months - August - September

At Chiang Mai, intensive learning with spiritual, professional and relational growth through expert led sessions.

Career placements, guidance for launching new ventures and a commissioning ceremony.

Available Internship tracks

Internships - 1 month - October

Internship in your chosen sector, with placements across India and limited overseas options.

Debriefing - October 20th - October 30th

Course Fee

$2500 (can be paid in monthly installments)

This fee includes: Double/Triple sharing accommodation, Food, All travel related to the course including internship location, Insurance cover for 3 months, All course materials, graduation dress, One picnic trip.

Scholarships

There are two full scholarships available for those who are willing to work as a voluntary support staff during the course. There are limited number of partial scholarships available. Please write to : worldshaperscommunity@gmail.com

This fee doesn’t include “Overseas travel if you choose outside the country, overseas medical insurance, visa charges, any personal expenses like medication, emergency, travel etc.

FAQs

What are the requirements of this course?

Believer of Jesus Christ. Minimum under graduation with an interest to learn and work in a intercultural environment. Age group from 20 to 40 years (both male and female), Willingness to work hard (not a gossiper and lazy).

Do I need work experience to join?

It is surely an advantage if you have some work experience, but not mandatory.

Can I choose my internship location?

The Course Coordinator and leadership team will pray with every participant to fix the internship. You are encouraged to share your preferences.

Can I go visit my family during the course?

It is a full residential program and we do not advise family visits during the course. However if there are emergencies it may be allowed depending on the situation.

Do you guarantee a placement after the course?

Every effort is taken to ensure all the course participants are placed according to their God given calling. It depends upon the individual candidates competencies and willingness to take up available opportunities.

The course fee seems to be high. Why do you charge this much?

We provide reasonable facilities including quality food, decent accommodation, internet, good transportation and high quality resource materials. Also there will be around 18 to 20 eminent resource people (including corporate trainers, industrialists, specialists, media personalities) offering their paid sessions. There will be atleast 5 to 6 exposure visits to workplaces including one trip. Actually the course fee mentioned does not cover all expenses but subsidised through generous individual donations.
